Case Study

Univar™ is a Fortune 500 logistics company that delivers chemicals from over 100 warehouses. Each location spends at least 5 hours per day dispatching deliveries and manual trip sheets. They also receive tracking data (elogs) from an external company, but don't know how to use it for reporting.

Univar™ hired us to build a transportation manager website that automatically sends dispatches to the tracking company, show delivery status on a map (including older shipments), and maybe a few custom-design dashboards to summarize the data.

Steps to Resolve

Logistics data was all over the place. We developed a process to combine the data in 1 database so that it can be used by the website and other report builders.

Next, we built the website by pairing the latest technologies that was easy to maintain and affordable for the customer.

Vadim Michaels, co-Principal

Vadim is a certified Business Intelligence Engineer and is a graduate of Bellevue College. He has over 10 years of applied experience in different industries such as food & beverage, financial, transportation (logistics) and software.

Vadim has tremendous experience in building advanced data analytics platforms including scalable data models, automated procedures to form business analysis, developing business measures and maintaining data with high quality standards.

Romeo Millora, co-Principal

Romeo is a U.S. Navy Veteran (Pearl Harbor). He graduated from Hawaii Pacific University in May 2001 with a degree in Computer Science. Since 2001, he has worked 10+ years at Microsoft doing advanced data analytics (BI), building data-driven ASP.NET websites and Technical Program Management.

His favorite things to do are traveling, collecting tools, grilling, karaoke, playing sportsVolleyball, tennis, badminton, softball and a quick trip to 24-Hour Fitness., home renovation projectsI can talk about this forever. and being a hands-on dad. He enjoys building websites because he gets to show people what he does.
